Projects

A project combines one data source with one context, one eval suite, and one review queue.

Get an organization

Request access for your own data. Cassis creates your organization and makes you its admin. Sign in with Google, or use Forgot your password? with that address to set a password.

An email address belongs to one organization. If you already used your work email for the demo, mention it when requesting access so Cassis can arrange the move or conversion. For colleagues joining through a company domain, see Members and roles.

Create a project

An organization admin creates a project with Create new project in the project switcher, and gives it a schema at the same time: a live warehouse connection or a DDL file. A demo organization cannot create projects. See Create your project for the steps. Afterwards, choose whether the context is managed in git or in the web app; the project does not fix that choice. The optional Context (.cassis.json) field accepts an exported context; importing one makes it live as version 1.

What belongs to the project

Data source
One live warehouse connection or one uploaded DDL schema. A DDL project can switch to a live connection later and keep its context.
Context
The domains, tables, joins, metrics, and published version used by every answer.
Quality
Its eval suite and Review queue.
Management
App-managed, or one repository and configured context path.
Write access
Open to all editors, or restricted with domain permissions.

Members, roles, API keys, and the GitHub and Slack installations belong to the organization. Individual projects select their repository and Slack channel mappings.

Demo accounts include a deletable sample project. Production projects are not deleted from the app.
